About

A surreal, darkly humorous drama inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy. A mother and daughter lose their way on the North York Moors and meet a stranger in the night, questioning whether to cross into deeper despair or find their path before sunrise. It is a visually compelling new play by emerging inter-disciplinary theatre company Light The Night, written by Tania Khan and developed with support from ArcolaLAB, tenderly exploring ancestral trauma, hope and recovery. The National Theatre's New Work Department have described the writing as mysterious, unnerving, lyrically gothic, theatrical and engaging drama.
