About

A live concert by Ghanaian musician King Ayisoba, billed as 'Traditional music dug up from the future'. Born near Bolgatanga in northeast Ghana, he plays the kologo, a small two-stringed guitar attached to a calabash, and fuses its traditional sound with electronic beats and his gravelly voice. His first album 'Modern Ghanians' was recorded in 2006, and his single 'I want to see you my father' won the Ghana Music Awards in 2007. His shows are raw, trance-like experiences where mystical traditions meet the urban Hiplife of Accra.
