About
Lagos Afro-Funk Collective ft Dele Sosimi is a live music night bringing the sounds of West African highlife, Afro jazz, jazz funk and Fela Kuti's Afrobeat to the stage. Led from the front by Ed Emeka Keazor, it stars Dele Sosimi, a giant of Afrobeat who played keyboards in Fela's Egypt 80 from 1979 to 1986, then co-founded Positive Force with Femi Kuti and was its musical director until 1994. Now London-based, Sosimi has released five studio albums, including the Afro-House anthem "Too Much Information" (Laolu remix). He is joined by a line-up of seasoned musicians: percussionist Ed Keazor, drummer Yoann Julliard, guitarist Jake Elkan, bassist Mike Idowu and saxophonist Ayo Odia.
