La Marsellesa de los borrachos: Cantacronache's journey.

A documentary about a film crew travelling through northern Spain, retracing the clandestine 1961 journey of the Italian ethnomusicology group Cantacronache, who collected popular songs of resistance under the Franco dictatorship. Through oral testimonies, original recordings and photographs, and contemporary reinterpretations, the film builds a dialogue between the two journeys. Pablo Gil Retuerto's film reveals an emotional and political geography where the wounds of the past remain unresolved.
