Concerts
Lainey Dempsey: traditional folk songs, unaccompanied.
About
A folk evening at Ye Olde Rose and Crown in London. Waltham Forest Folk Club presents Lainey Dempsey, a singer-songwriter influenced by Scotland and Ireland's traditional song bearers, who sings unaccompanied about rebels, underdogs, the supernatural and the broken hearted. Her first album 'Letle Telt', self-released in May 2023 and much of it recorded around a campfire in the Scottish Highlands, mixes rarely sung songs from antique song books with new compositions inspired by Scottish history and lore.
