Talks and readings
Lilith: a lecture on demon, muse and feminine archetype.
About
A live, in-person lecture on the myths and evolving symbols of Lilith, a figure of folklore, scripture and art history who appears as both demon and muse. It is led by Art History & Contextual lecturer Deborah Máire, who explores goddesses, demons and warriors through folktales, visual art, esoteric writings and the lives of the models and muses behind works from the Pre-Raphaelites to feminist reinterpretations. Doors open at 6:30pm and the talk starts at 7pm, with the award-winning Absinthe Parlour cocktail bar hidden within the museum.
