LIT/UP – Lighthouse: immersive show by Jez Colborne.

LIT/UP – Lighthouse is an immersive live performance in the Pentland Theatre, where the audience stands throughout. It is by musician and composer Jez Colborne, produced with Mind the Gap, and tells of a veteran lighthouse keeper posted to a barren rock who loves his isolation until he loses contact with the mainland. Part performance, part light show and part sonic experience, it blends original music inspired by jungle, drum & bass and breakbeat with projection, film, sculpture and movement. Colborne explores themes of isolation, automation and transformation, drawing on his own relationship with solitude and the comfort he finds in music.
