Make a Festive 'Magic City' Lantern
- Charles Dickens Museum
- From £8
About
A family workshop where children and their adults make a lantern inspired by Dickensian London to take home, lighting up the winter nights. It is held by the Charles Dickens Museum, whose house at 48 Doughty Street is decorated for a Victorian Christmas. Participants tour the historic house to learn about Dickens and his life in London, then build their own 'magic city' lantern inspired by the London skyline, with all materials provided, including a flameless tealight. The session lasts 1 hour 15 minutes and is suitable for ages 8-12, for adults with children only.
