Collage workshop: scan a keepsake into a shared artwork.

Memory Collage is a drop-in workshop where participants bring a photograph, a keepsake or another meaningful personal item, which is scanned during the session and returned the same day. It is a collaborative artwork by artist Molly Gochman, created in 2009, exploring how the objects we hold on to carry personal histories, connect generations and bring communities together. For this iteration, Gochman works with Ibraaz to gather the intertwined histories, migrations and lived experiences of Global Majority communities, drawing on family photographs, mementos and objects that tell stories of journeys, belonging and home. The digitally captured objects are woven into a shared visual narrative, with contributions brought together in a public display at Ibraaz in 2027.
