About
A screening of the 1981 thriller "Ms. 45", directed by Abel Ferrara and starring Zoë Tamerlis. Thana, a garment worker assaulted twice in one day, spends her nights prowling New York City for revenge, leaving men dead by gunfire. The film is an eerie snapshot of early 1980s New York, with a haunting performance from Tamerlis and Ferrara turning limited means into a genre landmark. It contains scenes of sexual assault.

Critics
7.0Good
The first critic praises the haunting lead performance, the powerful revenge portrait, and Ferrara's raw, purposeful style, calling the film a genre standout. The second finds the lead commanding and the atmosphere chilling, but faults the thin character development and the director's lack of subtlety.
