A neighbourhood breakfast with coffee, tea and pastries, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition Disco Inferno. The tour is led by Gasworks' Curator Rosa Tyhurst and explores the work of artist Paloma Contreras Lomas, whose practice moves between folklore, literature, children's comics and personal histories, using grotesque, subculture aesthetics to critique patriarchal systems and their intersections with capital, and to examine how violence in her home country has been shaped through popular culture and media narratives. The event is free to attend, with booking recommended.
