A masterclass on playing with form and structure in playwriting, taking place in person at Theatre503's Studio. It is written and led by Danny James King, an Olivier Award nominated writer working across fiction, theatre, film and television. Starting from linear narratives and traditional structure, participants learn the basic rules of narrative before exploring how form can be disrupted, including closed and open uses of time and space and more abstract approaches. King uses his upcoming play The Houseguest, which employs a rare closed time, open space structure, as an example.
