Writing Funny with Spymonkey is a workshop on writing comedy theatre, running over five days at Longfield Hall. It is led by Toby Park, Spymonkey's co-artistic director, and Carl Grose, a playwright and Spymonkey's associate artist. Participants explore the company's creative process, including improvisation and devising exercises, finding source material for original shows and adaptations, and mining humour, physicality and theatricality in ideas. It is open to actors, clowns, performers, writers, directors and dramaturgs of all levels of experience, from novice to seasoned professional.
