Rab-Rab, Three Men in a Tub (of Publishing Avant-Garde Literature)
Pushkin House, Bloomsbury Square 5a, London, Bloomsbury
About
An evening book talk, held both in person and online, devoted to the avant-garde literature published by Rab-Rab Press. It brings together Sezgin Boynik, founder of the Helsinki-based press, poet and translator Eugene Ostashevsky, and artist and curator Nikolay Karabinovych, moderated by Isabel Jacobs. They will discuss the eight-volume bie-bao series on the Futurist poet and typographic artist Iliazd, and the new publication of Shop-Signs in Kharkiv by the 1920s Ukrainian modernist Maik Yohansen. Topics range from Futurism to language politics, poetry to typography, alongside other titles such as a new translation of Varlam Shalamov's The Twenties.
