Rediscovering the Strugatsky Brothers: A talk with Mark Bould and Adam Roberts

A talk, held both in person and online, about the Soviet science fiction writers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, who dominated the genre for over three decades. It is co-presented by Pushkin House and Klassiki as a companion to the film season After Utopia: The Strugatsky Brothers on Film, which screens four adaptations of their work. Science fiction experts Adam Roberts and Mark Bould will discuss what the brothers meant for readers and cinema audiences in their time and what their work tells us today, including its political, environmental and artistic implications. Samuel Goff, editorial director of Klassiki, chairs the conversation, which also features presentations and questions from the audience.
