About
A live poetry performance with sound and visuals, together with the launch of the project's digital publication. Rising and Sinking Like Mountains in Streams explores creative connections between the River Wye in the UK and the Red River in Hanoi, Vietnam. Initiated by Literature Across Frontiers and co-organised by ajar press, it brought together poets and artists from Vietnam and the UK as the 'RSMS collective', whose works across two residencies were shaped by ecological observation, deep listening, recordings, visual scores, graphic sound notations, collective writing and participatory co-creation. UK artists montenegrofisher (Luna Montenegro and Adrian Fisher) perform live with cellist Isidora Edwards, alongside work by Nhã Thuyên, Lowri Hedd Vaughan, Wanda O'Connor, Nguyễn Hữu Hải Duy and Thuỳ Dương, with support from the British Council's #ConnectionsThroughCulture programme.
