Unhomed/Unravelled: poetry & song on memory and migration.
About
An evening of poetry and song called "Unhomed/Unravelled" brings modern English poetry together with South-Asian songs and improvised music under the theme of Memory, Migration & Home. It features Shephali Frost, a bilingual poet in Hindi and English and singer of Sufi and Urdu songs, with Mark Hewins on electric guitar and synthesizer, Adrian Northover on soprano saxophone and Ansuman Biswas on fusion percussion. Hewins has toured with Lou Reed and the Bob Geldof band, Northover performs on the London and international improv and jazz scene, and Biswas draws on jazz, Indian classical and experimental music and has worked with the National Theatre, Royal Ballet and English National Opera.
