About

An exhibition of portraits of Jimi Hendrix painted by fellow musician and artist Ronnie Wood, shown in the very place Hendrix called home. It brings together two new original artworks of Hendrix relaxing in his Brook Street flat alongside prints inspired by iconic photographs. Wood met Hendrix in New York while playing bass with the Jeff Beck Group, and the portraits capture both the performer's energy and a more intimate understanding of the man. Formally trained at Ealing College of Art, Wood has painted throughout his musical career, often depicting musicians he has known and performed alongside.
