About
Room 13 is an immersive theatrical horror experience at Battersea Arts Centre, built around a fictional sealed chamber said to have been uncovered after a real fire there in 2015. It was created by the experiential theatre company Immersive Octopus and directed by Tom Maller, with a script by Bells Pendergast. Visitors are summoned to meet the Circle of the Veil, a secret society of paranormal investigators, to uncover the truth behind sinister encounters in the building before entering Room 13 itself to solve its riddle and face the darkness at its heart. Seated throughout the roughly 35-minute experience, audiences can expect jump scares, atmospheric effects, a prolonged period of complete darkness and optional interaction.
