SEND Play (August -Dec 2026) Drop-in

SEND Play is a drop-in session for children with sensory differences or special educational needs and disabilities and their families, part of Young V&A's Power of Play programme. On 7 November it offers a whole-family Sensory Design workshop exploring textiles and textile processes, designed for children who enjoy exploring the world through touch, with no wrong answers. The session is led by Young V&A's Play Champions, and Designer in the Shed Amanda Vesthardt opens her sensory installation for families to explore alongside the workshop. The museum offers step-free access, ear defenders on request, and visitors are welcome to move around, make noise, and leave or re-enter throughout.
