About
Made By Hands: The Fabric of Creative Action is an intergenerational textile workshop series held fortnightly at The Showroom in London. It is led by artist Kim Chin, a multidisciplinary artist, designer, facilitator, curator, and community organiser. Through textile banner-making, silk-screen print and conversation, participants will explore themes such as connection to place, re-claiming 'waste' within circular economic frameworks, and inspiring agency and action within communities, in the context of The Showroom's annual Mural Commission by Bahar Noorizadeh. No previous stitching or printing experience is necessary, and materials and refreshments are provided.
