Shag Pile - Weekly Swing Dance

Shag Pile - Weekly Swing Dance is a weekly class in Collegiate Shag, the fast-footed partnered swing dance that was the most popular swing dance of 1920s America. It is run by the Shag Pile team, who have been teaching weekly classes since 2013, and welcomes complete beginners as well as Lindy Hoppers trying something new. Each week starts from the basics with simple instruction, explores the music and musicians that inspired the original African American Shag dancers, and ends with refreshments and chat at a nearby pub. No partner is required, as partners generally rotate; bring flexible flat-soled shoes and water, and loyalty stamps can be collected for free classes.
