About

Shipkeeping Wednesdays are drop-in sessions on board the Cutty Sark, the historic sailing ship in Greenwich, where visitors can discover the craft of caring for a ship through talks and hands-on activities. They are run by the ship's shipkeeping team and volunteers, together with a traditional rigging specialist, who preserve the vessel for future generations. The monthly focus events explore historic and modern shipkeeping techniques, from gilding and rigging to caulking the deck, and are suitable for all.
