About

A two-day interdisciplinary conference on maritime histories from around 1500 to the present. It is co-convened by Royal Museums Greenwich and the Centre for Port Cities and Maritime Cultures at the University of Portsmouth. The conference brings new research on marginalised maritime communities and individuals to the forefront, including workers, makers, families, travellers, navigators and knowledge-keepers overlooked in archives and scholarship. People from all backgrounds, academic and non-academic, are warmly invited to attend.
