About
A night of live and electronic music at The Magic Garden, headlined by a brand-new 2026 collaboration between S.I.M.O and Hippo Sound System. Simo Lagnawi leads with soulful vocals and guembri grooves rooted in Gnawa tradition, Theodore Blackburn drives the rhythm section on drums and percussion, and Tristan Shaw (DJ Hiphoppapotamus) sequences beats, bass and textures live on a Pioneer DJS-1000. Their set fuses Gnawa rhythms with afrobeat, broken beat, house, techno, dub, DnB and global electronic flavours. DJ Hiphoppapotamus then plays a feel-good mix of Afro, Latin and Caribbean-infused breaks, house, drum & bass/jungle and hiphop, before Sian’s Music Box closes with Latin-Afro rhythms, house, breaks, hardgroove and disco.
