About
Zaperoco presents a night with El Mágico Baobab, Lady Avocado, Amancai and a special guest to be announced. The centrepiece is El Mágico Baobab, a handmade sound system built in the Netherlands to traditional Colombian measurements and painted by Colombian picó artist William Gutiérrez Peñaloza, playing vinyl-only sets spanning music from across Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America. Lady Avocado is a Colombian DJ and vinyl selector from Barranquilla now based in Barcelona, blending Afro-Caribbean roots, tropical grooves and psychedelic rhythms, while Amancai, from Cartagena and co-founder of Zaperoco, moves through Champeta, Cumbia, Salsa, Soukous, Zouk and Compas.
