An orchestral concert called Sound and Fury, part of the Wimbledon International Music Festival. Sinfonia Smith Square performs a deeply atmospheric programme with flugelhorn player Imogen Whitehead, principal trumpet of the Britten Sinfonia. The programme includes Anna Clyne's Sound and Fury, Gabriel Jackson's new flugelhorn concerto Hargrove, dedicated to jazz legend Roy Hargrove, and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3, 'Scottish'. The orchestra is directed by Charlotte Corderoy, Critics' Circle Conductor of the Year 2025.
