About
An embodied sound and movement session held in the Barbican Conservatory, using movement and sound scores, sensing, deep listening and herbal rituals to commune with plant energy and explore Black ecology, collective wellbeing and imagining. It is led by Seyi Adelekun, a London-based interdisciplinary artist of Yoruba-Nigerian heritage whose work weaves together installation, performance, sound and social practice to build liberatory futures by archiving and sharing ancestral wisdom. No previous experience is needed; participants should wear comfortable clothes to move in. The event is for Young Barbican Members ages 16–25, with ID possibly checked on arrival.
