Goodwin is a soulful jazz vocalist likened to Karen Carpenter, once working in medicine before turning fully to music, with recordings made alongside Grammy-nominated producer Mike Stevens including a 2023 duet with Marc Almond. Her influences stretch from Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald to Lianne Carroll, and she has often performed at this club both solo and in an a cappella vocal jazz group. Pianist John Crawford, the trio's leader, is among the UK jazz musicians she regularly plays with.
