About

An exhibition of fans titled "Swaying in the Wind – Frédérick Yvan Manuel Gay: A Contemporary French Fan Maker", showing around 100 fans to a British audience for the first time at The Fan Museum in Greenwich. The French fan maker Frederick Yvan Manuel Gay, one of very few working in France today, combines traditional technique with contemporary innovation, inspired by history and fashion. He also designs fans for the Parisian House of Duvelleroy and teaches the craft, with works by his students and by attendees of a 2026 masterclass shown alongside his own.
