About

This is a one-day yoga summit co-hosted by the SOAS Centre of Yoga Studies and the British Wheel of Yoga, running for the third year. It brings together academic researchers and yoga practitioners for panel discussions, guided experiential sessions and a keynote lecture by Professor Shaman Hatley. The theme is the subtle or 'energy' body of Yoga, examining what it is, how it has been understood across Yoga's history, and whether it can be measured. Speakers include Dr. Ruth Westoby, Dr. Marleen Thaler, Dr. Magdalena Kraler and Dr. Marissa Clarke, with practice teachers Swami Saradananda and Sarah O'Connor.
