The Jungle Book is a lavish family-friendly stage adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's India-set story cycle, told with spectacular puppets and centred on the boy Mowgli, relocated to the mangrove forests of the Sundarbans. It is adapted by playwright Anupama Chandrasekhar, directed by Indhu Rubasingham, with puppets by Finn Caldwell and Nick Barnes, and Hiran Abeysekera plays Mowgli; it is emphatically not a version of the Disney film.
