About

The Vulcan and Cold War Experience is a guided visit at the RAF Museum in London that lets one adult at a time get close to Cold War aircraft and climb into their cockpits. Run by the museum with its team of Aircraft Access Volunteers, it offers exclusive access to the Avro Vulcan B2 and the McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR2, letting you sit in the Vulcan's cockpit and the Phantom's pilot seat. The ticket also includes a behind-the-barriers ground tour of other significant Cold War aircraft, such as the BAC Lightning F6, the Handley Page Victor K2 and the English Electric Canberra PR3, with real-life stories of the people who flew them. Each session lasts around one hour and fifteen minutes, and visitors must be over 16, physically able to climb ladders, and wear flat shoes and trousers or shorts.
