About

TO BE FRANK is a non-verbal physical comedy inspired by Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, telling the story of 'Frank', a monster newly thrust into existence who tries to discover why. It blends high-energy physical theatre, slapstick and clowning with an original punk-inspired live electric guitar score. The show was created in New Zealand in 2022 by actor Michael Hockey, who performs it with musician Alanna Hall, and comes to London for one night after a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run. The 60-minute solo show explores loneliness, love and coping with the emotional intensity of life, and Halloween costumes are encouraged.
