About

Wallace & Gromit with live brass band brings three classic Wallace & Gromit films to the Alexandra Palace Theatre in two different shows, with the unforgettable music of Julian Nott performed live by one of the UK's leading brass bands, The KNDS Fairey Band. The first show is a double bill of A Grand Day Out, in which the pair build a homemade rocket and blast off to the moon in search of cheese, and A Close Shave, whose live performance is a world premiere in which Julian Nott's original score is played alongside the film, telling of Wallace's window-cleaning round that takes an unexpected turn when he falls for wool-shop owner Wendolene while a woolly houseguest and a sinister dog add to the chaos. A later performance of The Wrong Trousers opens with a 25-minute mini concert before the film, in which Wallace's invention of a pair of Techno Trousers causes trouble when mysterious lodger Feathers McGraw arrives, leading to a daring diamond robbery and the famous model-railway chase. The recommendation is for ages 5 and up.
