About
Bar Shorts with Darren Walsh & Russell McLean is a 90-minute screening event at The Garden Cinema, presented in partnership with Bar Shorts. British animator and director Darren Walsh and Emmy-winning producer Russell McLean have long collaborated in animation and advertising, on work including Angry Kid, stopframe scenes for Martin Scorsese's Hugo and Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Black Mirror's The Waldo Moment and the Compare The Meerkat campaigns, and recently developed the Gerry Anderson puppet project Hit Squad for Warner Bros Animation and Hanna-Barbera Europe. Walsh brings stop-motion and character direction expertise, McLean extensive live action and VFX production experience. The programme is to be announced soon, and the cinema does not show adverts, so arrive promptly.
