About
A guided walking tour through Abney Park cemetery held in recognition of Remembrance Day, learning about the lives of fallen soldiers and civilians buried there, including those with Commonwealth War Grave Commission memorial stones and some discovered by volunteers, with graves from The Great War. The tour is led by Abney Unearthed, a project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Hackney Council that is remapping the cemetery, adding missing information to burial records and researching the people buried there to bring their stories to life. Free tickets must be booked in advance as places are limited. Meet at the Stoke Newington High Street entrance at the interpretation sign in front of the office.
