About

"What Home Gives" is an exhibition of paintings and portraits exploring what home provides — safety, belonging, connection, dignity and visibility — and what is lost without it. It shows selected work from Marie Ayodele's collection on home and homelessness, presented during World Homeless Week. Intimate paintings of domestic moments sit alongside raw portraits of people experiencing homelessness, asking where we belong. After seven years working in homelessness services, the artist makes work about visibility and dignity, seeing people in their fullness.
