About

Young Producers is a paid opportunity for young people aged 16 to 25 at the National Maritime Museum, with workshops held in its Learning Space on the ground floor, which has step-free access. Run by Royal Museums Greenwich, it brings together 20 young people to plan and run part of the museum's Lunar New Year celebrations, a community festival centreing creatives of Southeast and East Asian heritage that is open to everyone. Working with a lead facilitator and producer, the participants develop and deliver an interactive activity, resource or performance, such as a trail, tour, workshop or treasure hunt. No experience is needed, the sessions are free, the work is paid at the London Living Wage, and up to £10 per return journey of transport costs can be covered.
