The Colombian trio Los Pirañas, featuring Eblis Álvarez of Meridian Brothers, bend traditional tropical styles such as cumbia, champeta, chicha and vallenato into something raw, playful and wild, with a rock attitude and offbeat humour. Their joyful live sets have taken them to festivals across Europe and put them at the heart of the revival of the Colombian music scene.
