About

A book talk on the rise of China's migrant worker literature, in conversation. It features Xiao Hai, author of "Adrift in the South" (Granta, 2026), an autobiographical account of his 23 years as a migrant laborer in 17 jobs across seven Chinese cities, alongside its translator Tony Hao, with discussion moderated by Alec Ash, Editor of China Books Review, which presents the event. Copies of the book will be on sale, with the author available to sign them.
