About

Advent Togo Offering is a special collection held at the church every Sunday. It is led by Jim Fredere on behalf of Astoria Baptist Church and supports Macklann and Rose Basse, missionaries the congregation sponsors in Togo, West Africa. The $3,000 goal funds care for orphans they minister to, a printer and photocopier for their school, and the conversion and furnishing of an unfinished house into a nursery and preschool opening in January 2027. Donations beyond the goal go to the missionary budget, and gifts may be given in cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal or Simple Donations through Sunday, November 29.
