About
A free concert of Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem given in the Sanctuary of Brick Presbyterian Church for hope and healing. The Chancel Choir and Orchestra perform with soprano Liz Lang and baritone Lester Lynch. Brahms wrote his Requiem as comfort and consolation to the living, setting Scripture texts to music of radiant tenderness. The performance is the premiere of a new orchestration by Abraham Wayman, adapting the original's massive forces to the church's intimate setting, and a reception follows.
