About

A choral concert marking the 25th anniversary of Tenebrae, the world-renowned professional UK choir, on the first US stop of its anniversary tour. Founder and artistic director Nigel Short conducts the programme 'The Journey', which charts journeys of many kinds, from physical adventures to the spiritual passage from life to death, across centuries and continents. It gathers works significant to the choir's history, including music from Russian Treasures, Brahms and Bruckner, and Poulenc's Figure Humaine, alongside a recording of Frank Martin's Mass for Double Choir, pieces linked to Max Richter's soundtrack for Hamnet, and brand-new commissions, with two works receiving their North American premieres.
