Dark Matter U: Justice, Pedagogy, Design
Center for Architecture, LaGuardia Place 546, Manhattan
About
Dark Matter U: Justice, Pedagogy, Design is an exhibition by and about the Dark Matter U network, the first BIPOC-led transdisciplinary network in the built environment. It was initiated after the 2020 movement for Black Lives to enact systemic change across the design fields, changing how we gather, teach, and produce design. The show is curated in three parts: recording past DMU work, documenting current efforts, and a provocation for the future. It is curated and produced by a Dark Matter U network team, co-led by Venesa Alicea-Chuqui, Jerome Haferd, and Sophie Weston Chien.
