Like everything alive that we try to hold forever

About
"Like everything alive that we try to hold forever" is an art exhibition at Pratt Manhattan Gallery, an exhibition space on 14th Street in New York City. Curated by Elizabeth Diggon, Naomi Potter, and Shauna Thompson, it brings together seven artists: Larry Achiampong & David Blandy, Diane Borsato, Stephanie Dinkins, Bridget Moser, Sondra Perry, and Miya Turnbull. The works explore how human bodies exist in relation to non-human objects and how the collection, consumption, and contextualization of these objects shape our understanding of self and others. Organized by Esker Foundation and toured by Independent Curators International, the show uses objects and avatars to examine the identities and biases embedded in science, technology, and museum collections.
