About
A film screening evening held as part of a weekly series running during Rafał Skoczek's offsite solo exhibition Kino Drift. The series draws on Fernando Solanas and Octavio Getino's 1969 manifesto 'Towards a Third Cinema,' which called for a democratic and popular cinema that is independently produced, politically militant, formally experimental, and focused on anti-colonial, anti-imperialist struggle and the lives of oppressed people. Each screening is treated as a structured event for watching and discussing films together, and this evening features works programmed by Filmclub Populaire, a film collective based in Zurich.
