Galileo

Galileo is a new Broadway musical about the scientist Galileo Galilei, who must defend his universe-changing discoveries before the most powerful religious institution in the world. It is written by Emmy winner Danny Strong, with songs by Michael Weiner and Zoe Sarnak, and directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer. Raúl Esparza stars as Galileo, with Jeremy Kushnier and Joy Woods alongside him. The show examines the scientist's celestial observations, the church that tried to stop their spreading, and the beginning of a new world order.
