Holiday Train Show: model trains past New York landmarks.
- Grand Central Terminal
- Price unknown
About
The Holiday Train Show is an annual display of miniature model trains at a gallery inside Grand Central Terminal, a large railroad station in Midtown Manhattan. It is presented by the New York Transit Museum, whose Grand Central Gallery hosts the show. Lionel model trains, including Metro-North, the Polar Express and vintage subway sets, travel a 34-foot, two-level layout starting at a miniature Grand Central Terminal and winding past New York landmarks to the North Pole. This year's display adds new buildings by New York City-based artist Danny Cortes, including recreations of the Crazy Eddie electronics chain, the La Borinqueña grocery store, and the fictional Eric's Comic Books.
