About
"Kate, Allie and the '86 Mets" is a stage show written and performed by Kate Barry and directed by Alex Kagy. It tells the story of Grace and Dorothy, two recently divorced moms on Long Island in 1986 who, inspired by the hit sitcom "Kate and Allie", move in together as best friends to face the challenges of single motherhood and build a loving family over the following decades. Told through the perspective of their eldest daughter, Emmy-nominated producer and writer Kate Barry, it asks whether her moms were just like the sitcom pair or shared true love all along.
